Welcome!..On November 30, 2007 at about 11:28 pm someone very special to a lot of people was killed by a drunk driver, his name was Jonathan (John) Howard Kamp, John stood about 5'11 and was 28 years of age, he liked hunting with his friends and family or just by himself. He also loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. His parents were Franklin H. Kamp and Christine K. Jones. John has three sisters: Jennifer, Jane, and Jada. He also has three brothers: Jonathan Ray, Joshua, and Franklin Jr. He was married to Melissa Barnhart in 2001. John lived in Indiana all his life. He was a bailer operator at a local salvage yard. John was a member of the Indiana ABATE, bikers club. The night of the crash was a while ago but it still seems like it was a week ago. At that time ,John was moving to a new house from Warsaw to Akron, on his last load of belongings. He was driving 35 mph (speed limit) while the drunk driver, Leonard F. Williams (43), who at least drank 10 beers and was driving way out of control and was going over 100 mph. John was going down a country road South and Leonard was going East toward the road that John was driving on . At that minute in time, Leonard ran the stop sign and John was driving like he should be and they collided. Leonard got out of the car and walked seven miles to a house leaving 3 younger men hurt in his car. John was gone. His friend in his car (Richard Shoemaker) was able to get out and he had a broken neck. Following behind John was his 2 buddies who witnessed the wreck and quickly got out and checked his pulse. John was dead. Nobody could believe it. That's why this was made to let you know that you wouldn't want anyone you love to be killed by a drunk driver. So please don't drink and drive! We love you forever John! More to come soon!
